There is never the perfect gift for your boss. Either you'll buy a present so expensive that he/she feels that you're trying to bribe him/her (while in some countries this is actually a good thing, most of the time it is not a good idea in Singapore), or you'll buy something that he/she feels that it is too cheap and therefore insincere. So the best solution is to team up and share the present with somebody in the office! Just say "Great idea!" to whatever that person suggests and let him/her do the shopping!
