While so many of us stay in flats in Singapore, it is sad that most of us don't know our neighbours well. Like my family, we share festive gifts with our immediate left and right neighbours, but for the other families on the same level, we don't even know their last names. So there are always awkward moments taking the lift and realising that some "stranger" that exits together with me is actually my neighbour.
